I don't believe so. Equity owns the Westridges, which also runs the military housing programs or RPP - Equity doesn't allow pits or large aggressive dogs on post. But, some were grandfathered in before the rule changed. I've seen them in the Westridge, and they aren't a concern for me (even though, admittedly - they're not my favorite breed) as long as they're on a leash. Which, by the way, is a law in Tacoma (and most places now). So, the answer - I've seen 'em, just keep it on a leash. And, please - don't leave it tied up out back. They will evict you, and your neighbors will hate you (which can lead to dummies being cruel to you and your pet).
