Even though I didn't have any problems for myself, I probably wouldn't have your mother move in there by herself. It is a large complex with a lot of different people. At least if she has an aparment there, make sure that it is one that faces the street or is close to the leasing office. I know of some people that live in those apartments that feel safer. I would not recommend your mother living in the apartments that do not face any streets (all they face are the parking lots and other apartments) That was were I said that I didn't feel comfortable walking through the parking lot at nights. You should try to drive around there on the weekends or late afternoons after work, that is when most people are out, and see if you would feel comfortable with the atmosphere.
