Safety and cleanliness

Asked 195 days ago

No doubt Visconti is absolutely beautiful - and it seems clean in pictures -

My questions are:
1. How is the trash/recycling system? Is it well-maintained and clean? (are hallways odor-free?)
2. How is safety regulated within the complex? In the parking garage?
3. I am looking at a first-floor unit... they tend to be broken into the most.. anyone willing to vouch for safety in 1st floor units? How's the lighting?

1. sadly, there is no recycling here. trash is by chute, and hallways are generally clean/odor-free. occasionally, an immature college kid will leave garbage hanging out of, or in front of, the chute, but that gets cleaned up by maintenance.

2. there is a security guard that sits at the front desk. access to parking garage is regulated via gates - tho at times they're left open. lighting in parkin garages is adequate, no security guard.

3. no reports of break-ins heard yet. tho orsini has had more than its share.

You seem like the online watchdog for the Visconti :) Thanks so much for the comments/answers!

1) I lived a distance away from the trash system so I never experienced any odors in the hallway. Also, I never saw piles or trash lying around so either the residents know how to pick up after themselves or someone does it for them.
2) There is a 24 hour doorman on duty. The parking lot is littered with BMWs and Mercedes. I have a Lexus and have never had issues. There are also security cameras around the garages.
3) I lived on the 3rd floor so I cannot attest to the safety of your unit. The area, however, is not the greatest so I would suggest a higher floor if you can.

One of thing I'd like to note is that the management recently changed. I loved Nelson and Ashley so the quality of service and care of the building is not the same as it used to be.

I hear the previous management team was awesome :( Hopefully the new one will be good too.
The area's not so great huh.. so is walking not recommended even during commute hours?
Thank you so much for your insight!
