I lived in a huge 3 bedroom (2400 sq ft) in Building 1 from 2001-2003. That was prior to the curren ownership...the property was called Cedarbrook Hill Apartments (check out ratings under Cedarbrook). The latest name change is the 3rd in 4 years!

I moved out due to huge rent increase. The space was great....nice size rooms, plenty of bathrooms (3 full) and closet space. Maintenance was not good (water kept running out of washing machine; after 3 attempts by maintenance to resolve it, I called a plumber, made management reimburse me by deducting the amount from my rent).

Also heat did not work and they refused to replace the heaters of do anything about it (maintenance would come in and tinker with the heaters, which were very old, but the problem was never resolved).

I guess it depends on how much you are willing to spend and how much tolerance you have for slow or no maintenance. I spent money out of pocket for some maintenance problems. Other than that, it was fine. Also, find out the pattern of current management/ownership regarding rent increases. The previous owner sought a $200/month rent increase after 1 year!

One other thing to consider is the stability of management / ownership.

Personally, I would check out the ratings. If it's still not being managed property, I would look elsewhere...find some place with good solid ratings.
