The Laurels at Morgan Falls

I'm planning to move to the Laurels in May 2008. I've met some of the staff and everyone appeared to be decent. I adore the property. I have children that have lived sheltered and lives and I do not want them corrupted. I've read a lot of comments about conditions of the breezeways. In my opion, residents should maintain the general cleanliness of the breezeway by cleaning after themselves or not making a mess while management should pressure wash the breezeways monthly. I am asking for a true review of this property before I call this place home.
Best thing, drop by the complex several times. Walk through both during daylight hours and evenings. Much of the negative has simply been sour grapes .
I will give you a TRUE review of how my personal experience with Laurels has been for me and my family. Upon moving into Laurels it was Walton Falls and my family and I couldn't have been happier with our choice. Sadly, when the new owners took over it started to slowly go down from there. We have called Laurels home for two years now and this will be our last year, as we see no reason to continue forward in living here. I will tell you that last year end (around the holiday season) an apartment and car was broken into. I moved my family into Walton Falls (now Laurels) for many reasons one being a gated community (added security) but for months the gate remains wide open yet my rent doesn't reflect the lack of security! And the comments from other residents regarding the breezeways are very much valid and it's NOT our responsibility to power wash the buildings! I will leave it at this if someone came to me and said hey I thought about moving into your apartment complex since it looks so nice outside and the Management is friendly, what do you think? I would tell him/her don't judge a book by its cover! Good Luck in your search or with living in Laurels.
