What is the Best building to live in ? and the price? Which floor?... Thinking of moving in to a ONE BED

Asked 114 days ago

I am wondering if there are certain buildings that are newer or nicer than others, or if there are some that maybe arent as safe. My boyfriend and I are looking for a one bedroom w/ a den, or two story floor plan, We are thinking the bottom floor would be convenient because of our dog..any advice???

One thing I have to tell you about the apartments and the townhouses is that if you do decide on moving there then DO NOT LIVE ON THE GROUND FLOOR OR IN THE TOWNHOUSES. These are the places that typically get broken into. I would recommend not moving there period actually. All of the buildings are very very old. And though the maintenence does keep up the landscaping very well, the buildings are a different story. They are priced low for a reason, it's the only ghetto part of canton. I would recommend going to the other side of town, look more at places such as Bainbridge Park or Autumn Ridge. Even stoneybrook is better.

Hi,I have lived in the crossings for over a year now.I haven't had to many problems. And when I had problems,I reported it and 4-7 days later it was fixed.Ive never had a break in.I feel safe. All places are at risk for crime. No place is exempt from things happening.Yes, the buildings are old. But, I wouldn't say they aren't liveable.I wouldn't say that its "ghetto".But, your definition of ghetto may differ from mine.Love, what makes this community classify as ghetto to you? Dear Baindridge and Autumn Ridge are as old as The Crossings.I know ppl who lives in both of thoses complexes. They are having difficulties there to.So, NO PLACE IS EXEMPT from anything regardless of how nice it looks.Or how much you pay.

The reason I moved there is bcuz of price. 3 of my friends also had places there at the same time I did, 2 of them got robbed by the neighbor kids. My car was broken into twice, and somebody slashed the tires at another friends place. People who like it have not yet ran into the bad, but read the rest of the reviews. I'm not bashing because I dislike this place, I just want you know what's really going on there. I'm not throwing up a smoke screen. The police are there at least once a day. And it's not about old buildings or crappy service, it's about the nasty kids who's parents dont pay attention, or care what they do, that s what makes that place nearly unlivable. All I have to say is watch yourself if you do decide on moving there, because though the kids aren't dangerous, they are destructive. And it's not worth the hassle. If you decide to live there MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD RENTERS INSURANCE!!

Dear everyone has good and bad views.Go on what you think. What you feel and what you like and want.Because you're going to always have someone who likes to bash. The other person who responded to your ? liked this place to at one point.Because she lived here.I know that everyone has the right to their opinions. But, rag and dicouraged anyone from thier own experiences is wrong! plain and simple.Me personally,I had ppl saying bad things about this place to.I judged for myself. My family and I live in one of the 3bdrm townhouses. We never had any trouble. My family and I love here.If you're unsure, ask God to direct you to where you should be. God bless and good luck. There is a wonderful church on Joy past Haggerty called Canton Christian Fellowship. If you decide to live here please feel free to come and worship.

My family and I have resided in this complex for the past 3 years. Our experience has been both fair and pretty good. It seems for a while there were a bunch of teenagers hanging out at all times of the night last summer, however that issue is now almost extinct. I think this place is as close to a house as you would get in my opinion. I also live in a three bedroom townhome. We have had no complaints regarding maintenance as they follow up in a timely manner. You will never know which complex is better than the other based off of others opinions. People with bad experiences will post bad things, and people with good experiences, will post good things. The choice is up to you, however personally our family hasn't experienced any problems.

I suggest that you look for a building near the front of the complex. I did stay here for 2 years because of the cheap cost and the convenient location to I-96 and I-275. I have since moved on. With that being said there are worst and more expensive places to live in Canton, so if you feel this is for you then I would say go for it. We had a one bedroom with a den and fireplace. Gas and water were included. Since the stove was gas we really didn't have to pay a lot for utilities. In the winter our electric was probably $15-20 per month but in the summer we ran the A/C a lot since we lived on the 3rd floor so it was around $30.00. We also had a dog, but this was not a large problem living on the 3rd floor. Plus we didn't hear our neighbors walking on our heads. I never had my car broken into, but it is a common practice for aspiring criminals in the complex to walk around and check for unlocked car doors, so be sure to LOCK YOUR CAR. I hope this helps with your decision.

I lived in Building 47 for a year on the first floor with a den and it had flooded twice there along with the other bottom units. There were kids running and screaming all night long. The freeway was noisey. Peoples cars were getting keyed and tires slashed. Cars were always getting broken into. It's not a safe place. I had moved to Autumn Ridge and it's alot nicer....go look at the apartments off Cherry Hill and Haggerty.
