Upon moving out of the Enclave apartments in Keller TX, They are charging us an additional 11 days

Asked 193 days ago

of rent past the end of our lease due to our written notice being submitted 11 days late. They did not inform us about this until our departure. Who can I complain too?We have been good tenants however the apartment above ours was not and we complained. I don't know if this is retribution or more likely it's the equivilent to a speed trap and a source or revenue for them

Here's the deal: You submitted your notice and are responsible for 30 days worth of rent from the date the notice was submitted. Period. If you read your lease I'm sure you will see a paragraph that addresses this. It is not their responsibility to tell you it is your responsibility to know what you signed. This is not a way for them to make "extra money". They are simply holding you to what you agreed to when you signed the lease.
