How does Signature Point get off charging so much in Rent?



Besides the side by side garages, almost everything is the same in quality and amenities as some of the Irvine apartments and Archstone apartments in the area, but it seems that Signature Point charges about $1000 more than these places. In the past 12 months, with the economy, rent in this area has been dropping like a rock to get people moving in, but yet, Signature Point has keep there prices the same. I don't get it. I live in Torrey Villas around the corner, and like it much better there. I pay $800 less than I would for an apartment the same size in Signature Point.
