What are the utilities needed and what are the monthly averages of those bills?

Asked 100 days ago

Asking because I am highly interested in moving into these townhomes by the end of the year and I need to know about how much I would be looking to spend monthly along with the rent. Currently I am paying rent and electric through PECO and I average about $250 to $300 monthly to PECO alone, so just wanted a ball park estimate of what I would be looking to spend, thank you.

I can tell you what our experience was in terms of utilities. You are not allowed to install the dish satellite on the rental units..therefore we had Comcast for phone & internet, which ran around $112 or so. Water is billed for your usage, through the main office who actually sends you the bill--we averaged between $35-$48...but let me warn you--we once caught a contractor working on the rooftops on our street using our hose to work on stuff for other homes! Gas is very high in winter, and electric high in summer for the central air...either can reach $200-$250 easy...the A unit is above the garage, which is not climate controlled...so you pay more to keep the main floor warm (or cool in summertime). But they balance each other out based on the seasons...in the low seasons, PECO & PGW bills run around $50-$65 on avg. That was my experience...hope it helps!
