does roommate's boyfriend have the right to a key to the apartment and is he able to be at our place when she is not?
A friend and I moved into a three bedroom apartment with a girl that lived there the year before and continued her lease. She gave her boyfriend a key to the place before we moved in, I have no idea how often he used it before, but he literally stays here every night and doesn't pay rent and is not on our lease. He is starting to come over when she is not here and hanging out in her room for a couple hours. They are both kind of snotty people so i know I'm going to get some sort of retaliation, I just want to know if I legally have the right to ask him not to be there when she isn't, and if they get really rude with me do I have the right to get his key taken away?

The best way is to talk to the leasing agents in the office. Just let them know he's not on the lease, he didn't pay the application fee. There fore, no legal right to be there if he stays longer than 12 days in a row.
