Well, I moved out of there 4 years ago, but when we first rented the apt, they wouldn't let us see ours either until a few days before. They were still in the middle of painting the cabinet doors shut and they're were ant traps all over the floor, but when we finally got to move in it was cleaned up. Some of my other family members have moved in since then and the apts seem a little nicer than when i moved in. New cabinets and a dishwasher. I didn't get any of that stuff :-( I hope you have a better experience living there than I did. They might want to paint your apartment every year and a half and get paint on all your stuff and hang out on your couch and watch tv while they're waiting for their ride to pick them up.
