How much for utilities?
I'm reading here that the utilities are very high for 1- and 2-bedrooms. What is the cost, and what is included in it?
Thank you!

I have one of the units that has the central heat/air units and keeping the 2 bedroom unit at about an average 75 degrees, the washer and dryer, TV and 2 computers cost a little over $300 in electric. Cable and phone are the usual and teh complex charges about $70 a month for water sewer and trash.

I agree with what stevej101 posted. Its def a fair estimate. If you think its high its really not that bad especially if you are used to taking your laundry to a laundromat. I was spending about 100-150/ month on wash&fold services so now that I have my own wash and dryer I still save a little even with a higher electric bill. We also had a 1 bedroom at another complex that was gas for cooking and heat and electric for a/c and it was so bad that our electric bills in the summer were over $500/ month and we didn't run it constantly.

I have a 1BR on the 2nd level and I hardly ever have to turn the heat on in the winter (and yes, it's warm in my apartment!), but I do use the AC in the summer nearly every day. I average about $80 a month for electric, plus $40 for water/sewage and the usual for cable, phone and internet. I've never had an electric bill over $90 but I'm probably on the low end of average.
