if the one next door you are referring to is Pinecliff Village, I'd say to go with Ponderosa Park. Pinecliff has always had a problem with the police being at their complex at all hours of the night, there is a high turnover of residents and some suspicious looking people. For location, I'd go with Ponderosa Park, I lived there for a couple of years, the type of people that live there were always nice and friendly.
