What particular breeds of dogs are NOT accepted at most apartments.

Asked 608 days ago

The reason I ask the question is because my American Staffordshire Terrier has to be removed.

From what I've seen most apartments accept dogs below 35lbs. Some apartments do accept larger dogs though. Breeds that are restricted typically are pit bulls, german shepherd and doberman pinscher.

My apartment allows dogs under 50lbs. I don't believe we have any breed restrictions, but other complexes in the area outlaw breeds like pits/am staffs, german shepherds, rottweilers, dobermans, chows.

Sorry to hear about your situation.
Punish the deed, not the breed.

My complex will not accept any dog that is any part 'Pit Bull', which would include the Staffy Terrier.

A new trend in allowing dogs in apartments is not allowing and form of agressive breed. This would include pit bulls, dobermans, maybe german shephards etc,.

i also have a bully dog, and in the past I may have gotten away w/ the fact that she is an Am Staff. but most places are hip to that now and list them specifically in their restricted breed list.
