My guess is that shipping everything will cost you a LOT more. You just have to bite the bullet and rent a truck. If you can borrow one from a friend that always helps. We have used both Budget and U-haul and like both businesses. We realized that sometimes, if you reserve your truck from a less commuted city, you can save $50-100 or more. For example, we needed a U-haul truck from Sacramento to Provo, Ut. We looked for small towns outside of sacramento and got a much better deal. We picked our truck up from a few miles out of town and just drove to our place, filled it up and left.
