Anyone not breaking there lease have a negative move out experience?

Asked 185 days ago

I've been reading so many negative reviews about Monterone regarding moving out fees and charges, but this is mainly due to breaking a lease... Has anyone had to pay any other fees or charges after fulfilling a lease and leaving the apartment in the same condition they received it?

My lease agreement was 3 months and then a month to month basis so i was nine months out of my lease when they charged me over $1400 including for a carpet that was in better condition when we left than when we moved in. They claimed they lost our papework that we did have a copy of but wasnt sufficient because no one at the front office signed. We were able to name exactly who accepted the notice and she in return called him while we were in the lobby (we could hear her in her office CLEARLY) tell him to stay out on property until we left.

I did not break my lease. I was given a filthy apartment and left it clean. I could never get anything repaired. I paid my rent every month right on the 1st. I was a clean and quiet resident. The place is so poorly insulated - I had a 3 bedroom and my electric bill was between 3 and 4 hundred a month. Amenities are always out of service.

Yes. I lived there for 2yrs and had the apartment professionally cleaned. I over paid the last month by $100.00 just to make sure all was good. Then they put a charge on my credit report for $700.00+ dollars. I have tried contacting them and they said it was for additional cleaning. Nothing ever resolved. I was never late with a payment and everything was actually cleaner than when I moved in. They are crooks!

My lease there was for 26 months. With about 6 months left, work transferred me to another town. I did not break my lease. I left a minimal amount of furniture so I had a place to go in the Austin area to visit for a while. The last month the apartment was empty. Utilities were left on, the fridge was empty and I had the apartment professionally cleaned before I turned in the keys at the end of the lease agreement. I was refunded the deposit, plus about $50 extra. However, it did not come within 30 days. It took from June 6, (end of lease) to November (when my lawyer sent a certified letter to corporate) to receive my deposit refund. I did not break my lease and it took legal council almost 6 months later to get my deposit back.
