You have no idea I thought the same thing, run away from this place as as fast as you can, Iv seen better place's to live in Detroit. Wokeup one morning and water from the pipes coming down from the cieling in my bedroom and the 2nd bedroom and kitchen and mgn said well nothing we can do till spring it was Jan and they wouldnt even move and it's worst now, RUN AWAY from INNSBROOK. And you cant walk around at night and be safe, for that fact even in the day time. Pem still ownes Innsbrook but they are in AZ and they left Innsbrook to die they dont care tehy have so many lawsuites against them.

Yes. They really are. Trust me, the 1/2 hour you spend looking at them does not grant you the full perception. You need atleast a month to really hate your life, once you live there.

Yes, the things you have read are true. At least they were when I lived there...Sadly enough I used to work there and they like to show you the nicest apartment when you go to look at it. What you saw was the model and then you will move into an apartment that is nothing like the one you saw. Our apartment had a problem with a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom and when the person above us took a shower their dirty water would run into our tub. Then the maintenance people came into our apartment without permission and let my dog out. They did not call me or anyone to catch her. they let her run around all over the place. She was gone for 32 hours before we found her. That was the last straw for us and we left. They even tried to fine us for leaving early, but I fought them. If Pem Investments still owns that property I would not trust a word they say. I know that they have changed their names numerous times to, to try to cover up their past.

Unfortunately they are. I thought they were so cute when I moved in. Let me give you a few examples of what I experienced (I have lived in about 5 other apartment complexes so I have a good frame of reference)

1.) There are parties every weekend. The kind where the cops are called because tiki torches are knocked over and starting fires, kids are out in the couryard drunk and howling until 3am etc)

2.) I personally have called the cops on parties and domestic disputes.

3.) The laundry room is constantly vandalized, clothes are stolen or just thrown around. The windlows are broken and machines are beat up on.

4.) Cars are broken in to.

5.) Someone tried to pry my door open when I was at work one day. They weren't successful but the wood was chipped all around the lock.

6.) I suffered really bad respitory problems from mold in the walls, so did my guests.

7.) The ceiling in my furnace room actually collapsed (about a 4 foot hole) Of course because of rain etc. the air was shorted out (It was August). The rain leaked into the living room and rotted the floor, the carpet and some surrounding furniture. I called every day they NEVER came to fix it. Two weeks later I sent a certified letter that I was terminating my lease and moved out.

I spoke with other people who lived there, one of my moms friends who was a resident said the people below him were drug dealers. Another woman said they tried to charge her for damage caused by leaks they never fixed.

Please save yourself a headache and try another place. Swan Harbor and Park Place are right accross the street.
