Question about Gardenville

Asked 383 days ago

My boyfriend wants to move here, but I am a little hesitant as I am more reasonable than he is. I want to move to a 1 br, and the nicely decorated ones at the office didnt fool me for a minute. The critter situation sounds horrible. How is the rent policy? Carpeting? I would appreciate any insight from people living there...

I am moving from there in two days from a 2bdrm and i cannot get out fast enough. The mice are disgusting. The carpet was not bad but you never know whats in it with mice running all over the place. they like to come out at night and poop on my stove. this is very aggrivating because i am a neat freak and i cannot go to work until i clean up after the mice. they also chewed through one of my sheer curtains..... go elsewhere and save yourself the irritation.

I lived there 3 years ago and I grew up in Gardenvillage townhomes, so eventhough I don't reside there now, I can provide you with information. Compared to other apartment complex's the rent at gardenvillage is reasonable. The rent policy is pretty much the same anywhere you go. If you break your lease, you will not receive your security deposit back or risk having a balance and being sued (happened to my cousin). The carpet at my apartment (junior 1 bedroom) was good. I was enough space for me and felt cozy. The one bedrooms are spacious, but you can find other apartments that have more space, but you will pay more in rent. I would have stayed at Gardenvillage in my cozy apartment if I did not have a mice problem. Trust me, it was that bad. I kept and still keep a clean home and I dont' have things laying around and they still came around. It got so bad, that I did not stay at my apartment anymore. I stayed with my parents and waited for my lease to be over and moved out. Some people don't have an issue with mice, but I do and I don't want to live with them. If your looking for reasonable rent, then this is a good place.

I lived in a one brd the size of the apartment is nice but i also could not live with the mice problem my son was scared so we mostly stayed at my mom's house until my lease was up!! When i moved in my carpet was not new it had stains already on there. the rent policy is just like anyway else i never had a problem with that.. I hope this help!!

thanks guys! So its mice that are the biggie... thats nasty!!!!! Does maintenance do anything about the mice? Are the apartments clean in the corridors, hallways, etc? I asked to see an actual room not a sample and they told me I wouldnt till I filled out an application. Thanks for the comments rats are disgusting!
