Why I have to pay a rent if I am not leaving there?

Asked 105 days ago

I live in an apartment complex with my husband who I was a caregiver, he was homebound blind and with dialysis and my son who in mentally challenged and autistic, they were in the lease with the social security income, in the month before the contract end I told the lease manager that I will going to move the next month and she told me that if I don't move at that time I have to sign again the contract, because I can't stay there although I pay my monthly rent on time If I don't sign it. So I sign it, because I did not have a place to go with to disabled persons, I can't go to the street with two disabled persons, well I moved after I signed and they send me to the credit berau and they are asking for almost 4,000 thousand dollars, my husband died on April 2007 and I am still taking care of my son, I did not ought any money, I paid my rent on time and the apartment was clean when I left, they stay with the deposit and my question is this"Why I have to paid a rent for a place I did not live, and I don't have any money to pay that amount because I don't work, because I am taking care of my son. Thank you very much. Norma
