I pay $1447 for the 12th floor. They make deals a lot of times that lower your average rent (my friends all seemed to get them and I apparently didn't hold out long enough :)). The prices are sorta all over the place at this point because of deals like that, the fact that one floor costs more/less than others, and the demand for studios which sometimes has them costing more than a comparable one bedroom with a less popular layout.

No harm in going in -- they're used to not everyone saying yes, I have to imagine. I had questions about whether I could afford it also.
