Unsafe community. Our cars have been vandalized and broken into 3 times. The police are here every other day. There is no cell phone reception in the parking garage, which is unsafe. They will not take responsibility for anything!!!
You may also want to see if there is a tenants association or take the initiative and get your good neighbors to start a neighborhood watch.
Landlord is not responsible for cell phone reception.
A community is by no means required to keep all entrance and exit doors locked into the community. As long as the place is well lit and they are taking actions to help prevent crime like hiring a courtesy patrol company there really is not much else to do except move.
I really cannot believe you are blaming them for poor cell phone reception. If anything blame the city for allowing and authorizing those type of construction techniques that are blocking reception. An apartment community is not responsible for putting in emergency phones because cell phones get poor reception.
I am sorry you feel unsafe where you live. That is a horrible thing to have happen
Comment by CamdenNightmare on Jul 10, 2008 at 10:59AM Tarne: It's ridiculous to say "that is the country we live in". I have lived in this country my entire life and rented for for 15 years. I have never lived in a community so poor as this one. There is a false sense of security. They have "security" on site that drives around in their little golf carts and the parking garage is GATED. But it's pointless since there are doors that are UNLOCKED that lead out to the street!! And as far as the cell phone reception: NOBODY has reception on the Lower Level! When my car was broken into the witness had to go up a floor just to call the POLICE!!! When the police were taking my information, he tried to make a call to dispatch from his CELL Phone and had NO RECEPTION!!! It is DANGEROUS!!! There are no emergency phones, no way to get help and a very UNSAFE place for a woman to be!! PERIOD!!!
