Utilities question.......Please help????

Asked 89 days ago

I just wanted to get a feel for what the water, sewer, trash and electric bills usually run? Is AC included in the electric? I've been approved here and just wanted and honest opinion about it because I was told it would be added in my monthly rent, so how much do they usually run? Thank you for your help.

my utilities usually run be about an extra $105 - $110, but i barley use my heat or air or cook much, so it will differ depending on how much you use those things

Thanks for the response. Yes, I'm from the East Coast and currently reside in Capitol Heights. I was told that 10% of water, sewer & trash would be added to rent each month. So I just wanted to see how much extra I would be paying. Yes, I have a vehicle and don't keep anything in it overnight.

Umm I can't really remember everything but I do remember having BGE and the bill was pretty cheap it was around $60 at the time now since I've been there the price of gas and electric has gone up so it could be different. The washing machine was a bit of a task because it has to be connected to a hose threw the sink. You don't pay for trash or sewer or any of that. As I mentioned you use BG&E there so yes you pay for AC. You don't pay for water either last I recalled I could be wrong. They're not going to charge you more on top of your rent things like trash & sewer are included in the rent. Are you from the East Coast I ask because I've only met people in other states who worry about trash and sewer. The property was nice because it was accessible. The bus is a bit frustrating because it's the only bus that comes pass there on that high way and if it's a holiday and you have to work you will most likely arrive late. If you have a car (especially a nice one) make sure it's insured because our car was broken into along w/a series of others. But they have a daycare and a good dental facility on the premises and that's a plus. The apartments are nicely sized they allow pets and there's ample parking. So I hope this helps if not I'm sorry!

Well, I hope mine isn't too high. I do cook usually every other day. Oh well, we'll see. I keep all rental receipts, so I'm hoping I don't have that problem either. Thank you so much for responding to my question.

Yes, I confirmed that they do charge 10% of trash, sewer and water. Its included in your rent statement, but I was told that the cap off is $70, but I don't know yet. Just curious about BG&E. Are they expensive like Pepco?
