If you have no credit history, then it shouldn't be too much of a problem getting in. If you have bad credit, that may be another story. The question I have for you is why you want to move into the Berkshire Apts. It is not a good place for the expensive rates they have as there are better places on Lorrianne one street west. Unless you have a very secure job, beware of the lease agreement. The lease as of one year ago stated that there was no way to terminate it early and that you were liable for all rent for the year even if you have to move out after three months. This means you would still be liable for the remaining 9 months. If you cannot afford the 9 months at the time of moving your no credit will become very bad credit. Also, they make you sign a new lease after the current one expires that locks you in again. I lived there for more than 5 years and did not like the idea of being responsible for 6 months rent if I needed to move. The apartment managers will be all friendly and nice as they try to get your money. Once you sign the lease things change for the worse.

I make a substantial amount of money and i wont have a problem affording the apartment. Do you know of any other apartments in the COD area that are nice in the inside and are good for people with no credit? I checked out some in carol stream but the deposits for people with no credit are RIDICULOUS! lol

I moved out of state, but there are apartments all around the area. Look up Lorraine Rd. which is one street West of Lambert. There are a few east of Berkshire. Also, try the International Village in Lombard just past I-355 off on Roosevelt Road and Finley.

All I have to say is run far away. These people at bershire will rip you off any chance they get. with there late charges and early term. fees. which by the way are b.s. I am a realator There is a only a percentage of your rent that they can charge you for fees and it can not exceed a certain amount every month. I used to live there I will never make the mistake again spread the word to everybody not to move in.
