Whether or not your unit actually has a gas fireplace, all units pay a gas fee. Anyone feel free to correct me on this one if I'm wrong.

I believe you have to pay a gas fee because the water heaters for the whole property run on gas. It does save a lot from your electric bills. I have a 2 bedroom and sometimes my electric is as low as $40 which was complete suprise to me since i've had sky high electric bills previously.
