There have been several car break-ins and petty property theft around the property in the last month; October 2009. Management says they have cameras and they are concerned about the crime, but this is mostly talk. It seems the few cameras they have are never in the area of the theft. In the last week they did add security between 12:00 and 5:00 AM on Friday and Saturday, so that may help with the issue of guests parking in the resident parking spaces when there are large parties. No one wants to park outside the gate because of the crime. Ervay has several dealers and lookouts down the strip between Hwy 30 to MLK Blvd. Women who live here are especially concerned because there have been sketchy looking people wandering the hallway. The only improvement since I moved in is the maintenance; the hallways are now cleaner.
