ApartmentRatings.com does NOT remove reviews or apartments at the request of apartment communities, except for these cases:
Reviews, responses, pictures, etc. may be removed if they violate our terms of use (the two most frequent offenses leading to deletion being profanity or personally-identifying information). If we do delete a review, we automatically send the author an email with the full text of their review and a note asking them to revise and repost it.
The only time an apartment would be removed if it were demolished or otherwise no longer had any rental units available, or if we discovered that the address/phone/name information was incorrect and we could not verify new correct information. Sometimes we get requests from apartments that have converted to condos to be removed. Our policy is that we won't remove the community if some units remain rentals (even by individual owners), since the reviews will still likely be helpful to prospective renters.
If there's an apartment that was on our site but is now missing, feel free to email info@aptratings.com or use our apartment addition form:

We had some problems with Lucene our search engine last week, maybe that's why. I just searched "Canyon Creek austin" and found this link:
http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/TX-Austin-Canyon-Creek-Apartments.html
Is that what you were looking for?
Apologies that our search tool led to this confusion.
