How does the rating system work? What is the lowest and highest rating that an apt can get?

The lowest rating in any category is a 1 and the highest is a 5.

If you want to see what those correspond to for each criteria (e.g. what is a rating of 4 vs 5 for noise), you can take a look at a review form:

this backyard is nasty (this is not the only one) a pit bull lives here and the lease says no dogs more that 30lbs this dogs barks ALL the time and at kids too. Yards should be kept up with and its not. ( you cant see but there is dog poo everywhere).
